May 2009 Update

Probably should've lightened these, now that I look at them again... but oh well.

So here goes another month of photos, just to see my progess, or lack thereof... but at least I know I'm not getting bigger and going backwards!

I am happy with the arms and upper back... but not so much with anything else, as they didn't change from last month.

Still quite a bit of flab on the belly, thighs, hips and mid/lower back... and I know that won't shred off unless I clean up my eating more. I know I'm still allowing the treats, although I'm limiting them some. They are not cut out totally... so yeah, the flab sticks around.

I like how my arms are starting to look now though, when flexed! The weights are building muscle down under there for sure- but the flab won't let it show through!


I took some without a flash too... and they aren't pretty!


The flab really shows up in the mid-back and belly... ugh!


But I do like how my biceps and upper back look in the overhead lighting. And the abs are IN there... but can't get out yet.

So that's that. The awful photos!!! But I'm happy with how heavy I could go with the weights on ChaLEAN last month in the Push Phase. Incredible! I even had to go out and buy some more weights. 25 lb dumbbells... and I'm excited to find out that I can do squats with them and do okay. I also did bent-over rows with them too- and survived! Wow!
I'm excited that I moved up to 20 lb weights for chest presses. 20lbs on overhead shoulder presses, too. 15 lbs for chest flys. 10 lbs for shoulder lateral raises... all averaging about DOUBLE the weight I used to use before. So yeah- I'm happily surprised at how much I can lift now! Awesome!
Just need to shred off the fat though!!! That part isn't moving! The scale hasn't moved either. And my jeans still fit the same way. I'm ready for the jeans to shift... but so far, I'm okay with it. The scale... well it can just blow. lol
One more month of ChaLEAN and then I plan to do some more of the X this summer. :-)
