July 2009

Well, I'm still not thrilled with the photo thing... but I do see a little bit of improvement from last month's photos. I have squeaked out MAYBE a 3-4 lb loss since then- and about an inch off my waist. But everything else is still the same size.


Still not eating completely clean- but wanting to see if I can at least maintain without feeling deprived of what I feel life should still include. Like the occasional pizza, chocolate, baked treats, ice cream... but just keeping the portions small. And so far- it seems to be going okay. As long as I keep working out! I know that if I stopped working out, I will probably gain. Or at least get flabby as I lost muscle mass. So yeah, I have to keep on doing the resistance workouts to maintain the muscle and strength I love.



I was going to do mostly P90X this summer, but it's still hard to find that hour to get that workout in, without the kids wanting something or other...
So I'm back to trying more of ChaLEAN but doing the Lean for Life routine- where it's a mix of all the 3 phases as each week goes by. I might still do some X workouts too- depending on the day and what my time frame looks like- but I just didn't realize that having the kids at home all day (no school) would actually interrupt the workout times that much. But you just do what you can do, right?
So I just keep on plugging on- and hoping to lean down some more, before next month when we will be on a short vacation... and I always end up gaining again during the vacation trip. But this time it's only 1 week instead of 2, so I hope it won't do any damage!
