Insanity starts... but only on cardio days! I decided not to just plow through the program in 60 days- though a part of me is still very interested in what that would DO. But what I will be doing instead, is use Insanity on my cardio days and keep on using P90X, Power90, Turbo Jam (Sculpt) and stuff like that for my resistance work. I want to keep up my strength training! But anyway- today I did the Fit Test as my workout. It wasn't too bad, as it wasn't as hard as one of the actual workouts.
Starting HR: 118 (after the short warm-up) and maxed out after one of the jumping moves with 163.
60 switch kicks
50 power jacks
81 power knees (I want to switch knees halfway, work the other side... but I guess we can't?)
40 power jumps
10 globe jumps (guess that adds up to the same 40 jump total as previous, huh?)
14 suicide jumps (burpees with a jump- ouch)
20 push up jacks (so there are my 20 pushups)
39 low plank oblique (counting 1 rep for 2 kicks)
It'll be interesting to see if I can make improvements on these numbers, even without doing the program straight through. I'm sure it'll still work.
I also took my first-of-the-month pics today too- but no time yet to get them resized and sorted. I'm not sure if there will be any change if comparing to last month, but I just hope that when I look back over the year, I might see improvement from the beginning to the end at least! I'm like the Queen of Maintenance lately!! Which isn't bad either- but I'm still wanting to make more changes before I start maintaining!
So we'll see...
