Still so much mushiness all over though... back fat, muffin top... and the ONLY way to get rid of that, is to trim down the diet better. I know I still have too many treats for getting rid of the excess. But like the note says... I've now added INSANITY to the mix of workouts, as well as running about 2-3 times a week when I can. So hopefully I can make more changes happen soon.
Seems like I've looked the same all year... but yet I weigh about 5 lbs less than I was at the start of the year. I'm a bit smaller around, even though when I compare these pics to those from last spring, they don't seem to be any different.
I do like the shape my arms are getting! Thanks to ChaLEAN Extreme!!!And a shot of the back, without the flash to see a little bit of definition trying to show up...
I still have a ways to go (to reach what mental image I have in my mind) but I am happy that my fluctuations on the scale now rarely goes up over 132 or 133 max. Yay for that!!! I am also happy to see that the fluctuations are not as big anymore either, since starting on the Shakeology. I seem to have balanced out more from day to day. Balance is good. So is easy-breezy (and tasty) nutrition! :-)A few personal bests reached with my running recently. I did a 5K in about 40 minutes the other day. Yay!! And sometime before that, I hit a 10.5 minute pace on the half-mile... so if I can just keep on going and NOT stop to walk, I can shorten that 40 minutes even more. I'm still walking too much though- but not as much as before. I see progress every time I go out to run. :-)
For the most part though, my pace is around 11.5 minutes a mile (including the walking/breaks) which is better than the 12-13 min/mile I did before. And I owe it all to INSANITY, too- the cardio-vascular conditioning! Yay for HIIT!!! High intensity interval training... it sure has made a difference. All those years of low-level cardio... it's just not the way to go. More high-speed spurts that make me push harder and go faster... that is the way to go. That and trying to lift as heavy as I can when I do weights. No more high reps and low weights!! Now it's trying to lift heavy enough that I can't go past 10-12 reps... and it's working wonderfully!
Hopefully next month's photos will show some change. I know I say that EVERY month, but with the running and Insanity going... I hope the physical changes will follow the cardio progress.
