TurboFire Rest Day

What!?! A rest day already?? We just got started!!! But I will settle down... and let the program do its thing. I know we're not supposed to do HIIT on 2 consecutive days, just like we're not supposed to weight train the same muscle groups on consecutive days either. Your body needs time to rest after something intense. So I will go with the plan. Tomorrow isn't a HIIT day, but starting next week (and the weeks after), the scheduled rest day is sandwiched by HIIT workouts. So this week is the only week when I could actually move things around without it being a big deal.

I don't know if I'm imagining things or not- but since yesterday evening, I've been feeling more of that "slow burn" heated feeling again. The same feeling I get when I first started on Shakeology (almost a year now!) where I feel like my metabolism is revved up. It's a little bit similar to feeling hot like having a mild fever (in which your metabolism is sped up, too) but it's NOT a hot flash (where I get that flushed, sweaty feeling). I just feel slightly warmer. I also know it's NOT a true fever, as I don't feel the least bit tired or sick. So while I haven't changed anything with my Shakeology... then maybe this is the effects of the HIIT and TurboFire??? We'll see. I don't expect to see any changes happening THIS quickly but you never know. It's something new and I'm sure it will "shock" my body somewhat, too. Again... let's let time pass and let the program do its thing. And see what happens later. :-)

Anyway- let's hope today's FOOD is better. Can't get much worse than last night, right?

Breakfast: Greenberry Shakeology blended with strawberries, banana, cottage cheese and So Delicious coconut milk. (370 cal) Not a fan of the coconut milk- no noticeable difference between it and plain skim milk, tastewise... and the cost is high for "no difference". Will stick to my Pure Almond vanilla almond milk. YUMMY stuff! Although skim is always good, too.
Lunch: KFC leftover chicken breast, skin removed (so the calorie counts will be off, as the tracker doesn't have the skinless version listed) (370 cal) I am amazed at how yummy-sounding KFC sounded the other day- but it's actually quite icky. Everything tasted SOOOO SALTY. My lips/mouth actually feel like it's burning, and I'm not sure if it's from the over-salted food, or if it's pepper. I know they use a lot of pepper too- as I can see it. But even the chicken MEAT without the peppery breading- seems to have that "burning" effect. It's kinda scary to realize that America is ingesting all this stuff. Home-cooking is definitely best, and eating foods as close to its natural state as possible. And if it didn't exist in nature... then don't eat it.
Dinner: Leftover spaghetti mixed with shrimp, broccoli, red peppers, garlic, fresh tomato, butter. (411 cal)
Snack(s): wheat roll, mini gouda cheese, "dessert" of chocolate oatmeal (358 cal)

Breakdown for the day- (1509 calories)
Carb: 47%
Pro: 27%
Fat: 26%
Fiber: 30g (need at least 25g)

Tomorrow will include some eating out, unfortunately. But at least the TurboFire will be back!
