Power Half Hour

Bad week!!! Didn't work out as much as usual- partly because I was busy, partly because I'm battling a big ol' sinus thing. It'd been creeping up all week... started out with a slight sore throat on Monday... to a throat tickle on Tuesday... and a slight cough, but not bad. And the sinus goopies showed up by Wednesday, and I feel like I've been blowing my nose until my brains are all gone since then. But thankfully the junk hasn't moved down into my lungs as a chest cold. I'm hoping to just keep it up in my head as a sinus thing... but it doesn't do much for this 20-lb heavy head!!! I'm tired just from feeling like my head weighs a ton.

Anyway- all I've done since the last post, was an hour-long walk on Thursday. Took a walk with the dog, the iPod and Jillian's podcast.

This morning I did PHH's Arm Toner. I felt like I needed to get SOMETHING done, but did NOT want to jump around and do anything cardio that would get me huffing and puffing (and coughing)... and I didn't feel like moving around enough to slosh my brain/sinuses any more than they were scrambled anyway. So a simple resistance workout it was- and one without alot of cardio tossed in that would slosh my head about.

It's nice to have the huge collection of workouts that I have- and the variety that they provide!!! This way, I can always find SOMETHING that fits what I need and what I can do that day. Even if I'm feeling limited, there is still something that should fit.

Anyway, I'm trying to chug the water to keep hydrated (as I tend to run semi-dehydrated anyway)- because it's doubly important if I'm battling the sinus junk. That crap won't move out if I don't keep it loose! (just like that green guy in those Mucinex commercials- although I don't have any Mucinex on hand)

Nyquil is my friend for bedtime... not too much I can do during the day, but keep on drinking the fluids. Haven't felt too hungry- so that's good for the overeating aspect, at least.
