Finally... got a decent workout in. Not since Saturday, have I actually had a full workout. I needed it, that's for sure! I did NOT feel like it, but I just felt like I had to. Logged into WOWY and saw a couple of familiar faces and I knew I had to just stay and do the workout. Plugged in the DVD and started. Got interrupted during the stretching by my ex- and when I told him I was just starting on a workout, he told me he would let me go and call back tomorrow. I guess he knows I take my workouts seriously lately (for the past couple of years)- and then his wife in the background yells out "say hello to Tony for me!" because she did P90 years ago. lol They probably think I'm still doing P90... and NO clue that I'm doing the X.
Anyway, I got into the workout, cranked out some better numbers than the last time, and others the same. It just felt good to clear my mind of today's worries though- and just concentrate on the form, concentrate on moving the muscles, concentrate on not planning a hit on Tony for the torture (lol)... and it actually felt pretty good. Plus, I'm just glad to get it done. I know it would just eat at me if I'd skipped yet another day of workouts and gotten ANOTHER blank box in my WOWY calendar. Yesterday was the very first day I didn't log into WOWY and do a workout since December. I'd been working out every day until yesterday. I just couldn't let that be 2 days in a row. Because I know that in the past, those 2 days can very easily turn into 3. Then maybe I'd workout one day, but then it was 2-3 more days off. And then 4. And then next thing I would know... I'd be off track and not working out and then getting flabby again. It happens SO easily, and I know- because I've been there. Several times, I've been there. And I know myself well enough to know that if I give myself some "lazy slack", I can take it and RUN... and end up a potato again. It would be SO easy to do.
So anyway, it was good that I got today's workout in. And here are the numbers:
Standard pushups: 18 toes, 6 knees/10 toes, 10 knees
Wide front pullups: 6 chair/7 chair
Military pushups: 7 toe, 10 knees/3 toes, 7 knees
Reverse grip chin ups: 1 without chair, 5 chair/5 chair
Wide fly pushups: 7 toe, 7 knees/15 knees
Closed grip overhand pullups: 6 chair/6 chair
Decline pushups: 7/10 (surprised myself that I got 10 this late in the game- but yay!)
Heavy pants: 21 @ 10lb/18 @ 10lb (I really do need some heavier weights)
Diamond pushups: 2 toe, 7 knees/12 knees (not great form, I don't think)
Lawnmowers: 22r, 25 l @ 10 lb/20r, 20l @ 10 lb (need heavier weights!)
Dive-bomber pushups: 6/8 (no fence move)
Back flys: 18- 5 lbs/15- 8 lbs
And then ARX:
In & outs: 25 (arms up)
Seated bicycle: 20/20
Crunchy frog: 22
Cross/wide leg sit ups: 18 (wide leg)
Fifer scissors: 20
Hip rock raise: 22
Pulse-up: 25
Roll-up V combo: 22
Oblique V-ups: 10 r/9 l
Leg climb: 12/12
Mason twist: 40
Jeanne... the Mason twists are done sitting on the floor. You clasp your fingers together in front of you. You lift your feet off the floor, keep them off the floor the entire time- as you touch your clasped fist to the floor to each side of you, as if you're rowing a kayak, going from one side to the other, back and forth. So you're twisting your torso from side to side, enough for your hands to reach each side... and keeping your feet up in the air. You count "one" for each right-and-left move. Oy... it's hard! But after doing them in ARX twice a week since the beginning of the year, I know my abs are stronger for it! Oh- and it was GREAT seeing you in WOWY tonight! I just didn't see you in there soon enough to give you a shout-out before you were gone! So how was Slim in 6?
Okay- now I'm off to bed...

Wow - those sound hard...I'll have to see if I can do even one! LOL I feel like my abs have gotten a lot stronger lately...I just have so much fat covering them...ick! It will go away...in time...I just need to keep at it, right?
Workout was good for me last night. I wasn't sure how I'd do since my total calories for the day were on the low side but I felt good and got through it pretty well. I'm having to skip less and less of the Burn it Up moves now so that feels good! Sorry I missed seeing you in WOWY!
