Okay, so I didn't get my workout in yesterday as I'd wanted. I was planning to do a TJ and Kenpo in the morning- but woke up feeling icky. Like that too-much-protein, not-enough-carbs kind of icky like I felt in that first Phase when I was trying to eat 50% protein and hardly any carbs (30%, I think was the recommendation- I'm at work and don't have the P90X diet guide with me)... and feeling REALLY sleepy and tired and icky. And I did eat alot of protein on Saturday with not alot of carbs... so that might've been it. Not sure really... but I actually ended up taking a nap in the late morning because I was feeling THAT run-down, that early in the day!
Anyway, I had to work in the afternoon, and then had dinner at a friends house... so it was evening and I decided to axe TJ from my day's line-up but do Kenpo at least. Plugged that in once the kids were in bed, and did a half-hearted version of it up until about halfway. I was just NOT into it!!! My favorite fun-fun X workout, and I was not enjoying it! So I turned it off. Yikes on that- because I hardly EVER not finish once I start, but I was just NOT feeling the love.
So I chalked up yesterday as my "rest day" even though I didn't do any stretch workout. And today- since I've been feeling more normal (thankfully!), I will do Kenpo again- and will crank it out the way I usually do this time. Might not get to it until this evening, but I will get it done.
And with my X group online... we have a new challenge now- to have our teams do 7500 Mason Twists (from the end of ARX) as a Team and so I started today on my share of them. I surprised myself, actually! I sat down and cranked out 100 of them at one stretch! Yikes!!! And YAY!!!, too! I really didn't think I could do that many! Then I took some rests here and there, but cranked out some more, in the 10-minute time limit... and reached 348. Wow. I actually did that many Mason Twists. Roll me over!! But I'm excited that I did it, and I'm excited that we had this challenge, because I would never have known what I could do had we not had that going.
Anyway, Kenpo will be later, and if I have the time, I might add the TJ to it like I'd planned to do yesterday- but I'm not sure if I'll have the time.

Ok, Jeanne here with another stupid question (LOL). Great job on the Mason Twists! But, what the HECK is a Mason Twist????
I think you were feeling the same way I was feeling that day that I COULD. NOT. complete my Slim in 6! I just had to stop. Not feeling the love (or the energy) AT ALL!
I did my workout yesterday afternoon around 2pm and I was just not feeling very strong or energetic. I got through it but did not feel pumped afterward. Hmmmm... My only thought was my calorie intake. Lately, I've been doing my workouts at nightafter dinner - when I usually have a good number of calories. Yesterday was after a 350ish calorie lunch. I had a bowl of soup and a slice of whole grain dense rye bread (that brick-like scandinavian bread) with some low-fat cheese. Wonder if that affected how well I could do the workout????
Sorry to ramble in your comments section! Just thinking "out loud"!
