TJ Ab Jam, ARX, Yoga X

Oh good God... what did I do?!?

I wanted to do something cardio before tackling the ARX and Yoga today- and thought I could get something short from my Turbo Jam collection. I got Turbo Jam Ab Jam. Uh... wrong! I should've changed it once I realized it wasn't going to be what I needed/wanted but at the same time, I figure I hadn't done this one in awhile and could always use some more ab work.

And then it hurt.

In a good way- but I crushed my abs with TJ... and then I still had ARX coming?!? What was I thinking??? But then I did ARX anyway. And it hurt (some of it). I ended up skipping the Oblique moves and the Roll-up V combo because I had to get the kids to bed real quick. I knew I wouldn't have been any good for the Oblique one though- after working my obliques so hard in the TJ! Man... I should do that one instead of ARX now and then- because it works the abs in a completely different way- and I could tell I was working it in ways that ARX misses. I'll probably be sore tomorrow... good thing I don't have a cough, or I'd be hurting with every cough!

ARX numbers:
In & outs: 25, with arms up
Seated bicycles: 25/25 (with a rest at 20 for the backwards one)
Crunchy frog: 25 (with some short breaks)
Cross-wide leg sit-ups: 25 (did wide leg)
Fifer scissors: 25 (first time to get all 25!!!)
Hip rock raise: 20
Pulse-ups: 25
Roll-up V-Combo: none- went to get the kids to bed
Oblique V-up: none- getting the kids to bed
Leg climb: 12/12
Mason twist: 55 (wooohoooo!- but I think that's because I had that break in taking the kids to bed)

Then I did Yoga. Skipped the Yoga Belly 7 part though- because my abs were worked enough already! Felt good to do the rest though. I didn't do pushups before every Downward Dog this time around. Didn't get up into Crane, either. Half moons are still hard (with some moments of foot-touching-the-ground to regroup) but overall, Yoga went well. :-)

It was a rough one on my abs for sure!!! But today, I could tell my whole midsection felt tight and firm. Not sore, just tight like I was NOT jiggly at all! Yay for that!! :-D

Keep on working hard, Jeanne... as someone who's killed herself many times over and griped about it many times over too... it does pay off, even if the results come WAAAY too slowly. The thing is... the results DO COME.
