Turbo Jam

Did not feel like doing a workout this evening! But then at the same time, I wasn't about to report a Nothing Day after that crushing workout yesterday! So I made myself do SOMETHING.

I looked through my stuff, and picked out a short one that I hadn't done in awhile. Wasn't really in the mood for a huge cardio sweat-fest, so I picked out Turbo Jam's Lower Body Jam. It's a sculpting workout with light weights and exercise bands. Not the bands with the handles, but a big rubber loop that you put around your calves to do resistance moves. Ouch, those things work!!! Especially when lifting your legs outward. Oy... but it felt good.

And I worked up a sweat anyway- even though it wasn't cardio! All those weighted squats- and I used 5-lb weights, so basically I added 10 extra lbs to my squats. Ouch! But despite all that... when it was over, I thought "that was short!".

So I'm glad I didn't have to report a no-workout day. I'm glad I got another X into my WOWY calendar. I'm glad that I feel better now than I did before the workout. I'm glad that I didn't just stay lazy and skip it. :-)
