I just got through setting up all the 90 days' worth of workouts in WOWY, for P90X next year. Wow... to see that calendar all filled up with orange squares, and once I am done with a workout, that day will have an X in it. So my goal will be to fill up three months up with X's all the way. And what's wild is... with my starting on January 1st... my "Day 90" will land on April Fool's Day. April 1st... the goal day.
But for now, I am setting up a goal to just get a workout in every day as the year ends. And drink 2 liters of water each day. And to get more veggies into my day, too.
And I plan to track my progress throughout the X... how many reps, how much weight I used, etc... and hopefully that will all help me keep focused. Plus it should give me a picture of how any of my improvements are coming along (or not). I didn't track the numbers when I tried the X last year, and so I didn't really even know how I was doing. Or to even have proof as to whether I was improving at all or not. Maybe by tracking each thing specifically... it'll give me something more concrete to shoot for, too. The program says to track everything... but I didn't do that last year. To really know WHEN I am actually improving over what I did the week before, I'm going to have to track things.
I also had a weird thought today, too. To catch a picture of each day's workout. 90 days, 90 pics. Of some part of one of the workouts, whichever one I'm doing that day. I know... that'll mean I will have to set up the camera's timer and all that, but maybe that'll help keep me motivated, too. Because I'm all about the pictures.
Whatever works. And to just do it, one day at a time. One workout at a time, one meal at a time.
