TJ Cardio Party

Back from Vegas, and I maintained my weight. Unfortunately it was mostly because we caught some kind of bug and was sick for 3-4 days and couldn't really eat! I ate a little bit each day, but felt nauseous from anything spicy (and I usually LOVE spicy) or wasn't bland. The more bland it was, the more I thought it was yummy. Plain white bread probably would've been great! The last full day there, we felt pretty much normal again, and that day, we ATE. Not alot, but MUCH more than the other days for sure!

Anyway, so today was TJ Cardio Party. And then the P90X Fit Test for the start of the X tomorrow. Tomorrow! It's the big day already!

Tonight I had some yummy beef stew for dinner. I worked out this morning in front of my new calendar for 2007... and instead of puppies and kitties, this year's was a freebie from Kraft Foods- and the picture for January is some beef stew. So as I worked out (and worked up a craving for beef stew), I decided that I'd get the ingredients and MAKE the stuff for dinner! lol (Good thing it didn't have a pile of brownies as the picture, huh?)

Anyway, I changed up the recipe a little bit, but stuck to it more than my regular beef stew mixture- and it turned out VERY good! I think I might've discovered a new variation that I like even more than my old 'wing-it' recipe! Good thing I like it, since I now have a whole crock-pot FULL of it. I ate a big bowl for dinner, but since the kids don't eat beef stew... I still have quite a bit of it left. Guess what I will be eating more of as the week goes on?!?? Good thing I'm allowed LOTS of protein for this first phase of P90X, because the beef stew definitely has it. Lots of protein, lots of carbs (in the veggies) and very little fat. Probably more carbs than I should have, but I will try to balance things out with whatever else I eat during the day.

So anyway... here are the Fit Test results:
Resting HR: 74 bpm
Pull-ups: 1/3 wide grip, palm forward, 1 close grip, palm back
Vertical Jump: 13"
Pushups: 21 on toes (thank you P90 for that!!!)
Toe Touch: +6.5"
Wall Squat: 2m 4sec
Bicep Curls: 25/10lb
In & Outs: 40

HR Maximizer: 157 bpm
1 min: 130 bpm
2 min: 109 bpm
3 min: 102 bpm
4 min: 98 bpm

And the rest of the measurements I hope to change:
Weight: 130 lbs
Body Fat %: 29%
BMI: 24.6
Chest: 32"
Waist: 30"
Hips: 39"
R Thigh: 21"
L Thigh: 21"
R Arm: 12.5"
L Arm: 12"
R Arm flexed: 13"
L Arm flexed: 12.5"

Thighs are measured at the midpoint, not at the largest part. Interesting to see how my numbers have changed/improved/stayed the same compared to the old set I had in June 2006 when I started the X the first time. I've improved alot in some areas, and I can only thank P90 for the improvements! (Like the push-ups... last year I did only 12 on my toes)

So tomorrow it starts. Wish me Luck!
