Today was Turbo Jam's Cardio Party 2 again, followed by PHH Stretch. It was actually a very nice combo! Worked out hard and sweated for about 45-50 minutes, and then stretching for 30. Not bad!!
Aunt Flo is knocking on my door. It's funny to look back on the "old me" and remember that I used to make that monthly visit an excuse to not workout at all just because I was feeling icky. Now, I just keep on going. I make Aunt Flo workout WITH me! lol And thankfully, I don't feel all that icky anymore, either. It's just that darn angry, irritable PMS thing that comes the week before! But once this week hits, I'm actually feeling quite normal again.
I calculated my calorie needs (again) this morning, to see what I might need to keep an eye on for tackling the X... and to lose weight, I need to stay near 1600 calories a day. To maintain, I could eat up to about 2000-2100 calories. Any more than that, and I won't lose fat, even while working out with the P90X program! I know I must have been reaching up near 2800-3000 calories a day the past few months, to have gained about 10 lbs since the summer. Talk about overeating!! I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the calories I'd been taking in. But I don't really know- since obviously, I was NOT keeping track! I was just free-feeding, and that's not a good plan!
I also calculated my BMI and body fat % for using in my P90X tracking... ugh! BMI is okay- 24.6, which is in the normal range for my height. Just the upper end of normal, but thankfully normal. My body fat is 29% and that seems awfully high.. but I guess for a shortie like me, it doesn't take much to add up. I have never been able to get down below more than 27% or so, even at my smallest with P90. Oh well... I know my clothes fit okay, and I think the BMI number is more important (accurate) anyway. I've had the body fat number go UP even as I've lost weight and inches- which never made sense to me. I use calculators through the MyBeachBody website.
So that's it for the day. And now it's time for a quick shower and a late breakfast or early lunch.
