Maybe it's a good thing that my Sunday paper didn't get delivered early this morning... Usually I wake up, get a pot of coffee going, and then leisurely browse through the paper. And then I might end up dilly-dallying until I lose the whole morning, and don't get my workout in when I could be so easy to crush it out and be done. (and read the paper afterwards)
But today- no paper. So I put in the Kenpo X and did my workout. And afterwards... still no paper! So I called the paper and now they will special-deliver one because somehow I got missed. It's weird though- that on the days we have ice and snow- the people across the street get theirs but mine might come late. WAAAY late. Or like today- I don't think it's coming at all. It's like we live on the same street, but 2 different people are covering this route. And I got the late-riser when it comes to snow days.
Anyway... back to Kenpo... whew!!! Total sweatfest and DNA removal! I used my 1-lb weighted gloves for the entire workout this time, and it REALLY pushed the limit. I love it- it makes the workout worth doing again! It kinda got "easy" and this really helped to make things interesting. My arms REALLY felt it on all the punch moves, and it really made the blocking sets more of a workout rather than like a break. I could feel it working in my core through all of that. I love it!!
And to do jumping jacks and X-jumps with weighted gloves... I can definitely feel the difference there, too. :-) It should be against the law to have so much fun exercising! And then to follow it all with the Recovery/protein drink... mmmmmm life is good.
Now if my paper would just get here... lol
