Plyo X

Oh, I earned my Recovery Drink tonight! It was a late one. Didn't do it this morning, had to be at work. Didn't get it in this afternoon with the kids around. So it was Plyo after the kids' bedtime- and now I'm sucking down my yummy drink before I hit the shower! And then later... crashing into bed. Ahhhhhhhh... what a way to end the day!

I think it would be better to START the day this way, but I just didn't have time to do it this morning.

Did everything the way Tony says except for these: (If I'm to touch the floor, I touched the floor. If I'm to hold a foot, I held a foot. Otherwise...)
Swing Kick: I never use an actual stool- but visualize a wide spot in front of me, and kick my legs up over that "stool". My actual stools are a bit too short to use effectively for this move.
Run-Stance Squat Switch Pick-up: did a bit of a step move rather than jump-switch in the last 15 secs of each set.
Mary Katherine Lunge: (these are HARD!) Did a bit of a leg switch and then lunged back, rather than a true lunge-jump kind of switch. Got a long way to go to improve on these! Kept arms at hips, but near the end of the set, I was having to use my arms to help the jump. Oof! Never tried holding my arms up in the air.
Squat Jack: (or is it Jack Squat??! lol) skipped the whole set the first round... was trying to breathe! Second round- just did mostly regular jacks. Gonna take some doing for me to still have enough energy to do these properly by this point- but one day, I WILL get there.
Run Squat 180 Jump Switch: not quite sure if I even did them right the first time. When I was doing the second set, I think I might've been turning the wrong direction the first set. And if I did... does that even matter? I was also doing more of a step turn rather than a full 180 jump. Again... one day I will be able to do this stuff this late in the workout- but not yet! (huff, puff, huff, puff...) I think I was also touching the floor more by bending over rather than squatting down. Another thing I'll be working on fixing as time goes on. My thighs were hating me!!!
Monster Truck Tire: needs to have bigger tires. I think mine were more like regular tires. Whew!
Hot Foot: OUCHY on the calves!!! Shins, too... so I just did the jump-rope on both sets.
Pitch & Catch: I can't coordinate the throwing movement with my left arm, either, Tony!

Improvements since last time (2 weeks ago): Enjoyed the Rock Star Hops more- and could do them with better coordination. Also I could last the entire 30 secs on the Jump Knee Tuck this time- but NOT the speed Dom would do in the background there! No way!

I hit the low 160's in HR at times, but most of the time, it was in the mid-upper 150's. By the time I got to the cool-down where we do the hamstring stretch/front hang (at 3 minutes left), I was at 130. By the time the whole workout was done, I was in my lower 120's. Whew... what a great workout!

Now that I've been done for about 30 minutes, with some Recovery drink... I'm sitting here at 103. :-) Plyo is SUCH a rockin' workout!
