Made up for dogging it yesterday! Did Kenpo X today, using 1-lb weighted gloves ALL the way through. Even on the jumping jacks and X-jumps, I was weighted! Man... that was a great workout! Once I reached the High Blocks, I knew it was almost over, and was surprised that it went as quickly as it did! It felt GREAT today. :-)
Eating... not too good. I had some cottage cheese with Grape Nuts Trail Mix cereal and dried blueberries for breakfast (Yummy! I've had that same thing the past 3 mornings, it's so tasty!). Tastes just like having cereal in milk, except the cottage cheese is the "milk"- and there's more cottage cheese than cereal. Lunch was with my best friend, and I had a taco salad. But if you know the restaurants and how THEY make taco salad... you know it wasn't anything SMALL! I didn't eat it all, but I'd say I ate probably 3/4 of it. More food than I should eat, I know- but it was good. (not that it makes it RIGHT- lol) And because my birthday is coming up on Friday, she brought me a brownie-cookie for my "birthday cake" like we do every year for each other's birthdays. It's always SOME type of chocolatey yummy cake or brownie or cupcake or giant cookie or something. So this year, it's a thin brownie, flat like a cookie. With icing on top. Oy. I think Michi's Ladder just fell over! I had one piece later after I got back home (was too full right after lunch to enjoy any then). And for dinner I made crispy tacos. I know- not taco stuff again... but the kids hadn't had taco stuff! Bad, bad, bad...
At the same time though- I don't feel like I'm eating too many calories overall- thought TODAY probably pushes my upward limits. But the rest of the week, especially the days when I'm at work all day- I don't seem to eat enough, or often enough. I know that's not good either, but overall, I know I'm not consuming too many calories throughout the week. It's just not a good balance from day to day. It's either too many or too little, most likely. I should keep track, but I just don't have time to. I used to keep track of every item I ate- but that DOES take alot of time and effort... and I just know I don't have that much time to be logging foods into the computer. (and get my blogging done, too! lol) ;-) So the food diary is the thing to get shoved out. I find the blogging keeps me accountable on the workouts more than food-logging does right now. And right now, I'm trying to keep that habit of working out every day... it seems to be a bigger priority than trying to track my eating.
So anyway, today was a good workout day, with a good solid workout. No goofing off with the camera! More pics on another day...
