MAN!!! Did a double (triple?) today!!! Since I didn't get Legs & Back and ARX done yesterday as planned, I tossed them into today's workout, before Kenpo X. Wow... but it went well. I'm glad I left Kenpo til the end, because it was easier (and more fun) than L&B- and if I didn't do L&B first, I might've skipped it had I tried to do it after Kenpo (and was tired). But I sure don't plan to do these long back-to-back workouts often. I'm not sure if I'm really doing my muscle groups justice to do that much all at once. But at least I got it done... and this next week is Recovery week, or week 4. Oh, heaven!!
Anyway, the numbers for Legs & Back... some things are better, some not- but overall, I can feel it working.
Reverse Chin-ups: 1 with no chair!,5 with chair/6 with chair
Wide front Pull-ups: 6/5 with chair
Closed grip overhand pull-ups: 7/9 with chair
Switch grip pull-ups: 8/6 with chair
Leg work:
Balance lunges: 15/18 (still find these rough)
Squats: 25/0 weights
Back leg lunge: 18/0 weights
Side lunge: 0 weights (it's enough trying to get the coordination down)
Wall squats: did okay with first set, manage to push through whole second set this time again! But those 1-legged ones are TOUGH!
Sneaky lunges: lost count, but went until there was 23 secs left on the clock. (Tony should come visit me soon- because I had a hard time NOT putting my heel down often this time around)
Toe roll lunges: 20/20 no weights
Calf raises: no weights
80/20 squats: 30/30 no airborn jumps.
ARX:
In & outs: 25
Seated bicycle: 25/20
Seated crunchy frog: 25 with no break this time -but Whhoooo
Crossed/wide leg situps: 20 (wide leg)
Fifer scissors: 16 (ouch)
Hip rock raise: 13 (felt beat today on these for some reason!)
Pulse-up: 25
Roll-up V-combo: 18
Oblique V-up: 10/6 (getting better with coordination on these, thankfully)
Leg Climb: 12/12 (one grab-up)
Mason kayak twist: 30
And then on the Kenpo punches, I used 1-lb weighted gloves. That Recovery drink was a BIG lifesaver once all that was done!!
