Core20 and Stretch40 Day

Easy day... Core20 and Stretch40! Core20 is abs, and those are not my favorite! Why?? Because I'm not good at them! Not my strongest area! Which is all the more reason to keep on doing them. So I can get stronger. Like how push-ups used to be... but now I can do them and I don't mind. Still not my favorite, but I don't dread them. So maybe later I won't feel this dread for ab workouts, too.

Core20 is really not that bad. Just 20 minutes... and the first 15 has some tough things here & there, but I don't really start to seek the end of that time clock until I close in on the last 5 minutes. Then I'm just hanging on to just plain FINISH. Ugh... but it's gotta be done!

I can't complain... or shouldn't complain. It's helped me to shrink my core and my waist. My torso is smaller... so I have to make sure I keep doing these workouts. You only get OUT of them, what you PUT INTO them! So keep those workouts going!

Then Stretch40... the yoga stuff that I used to "not get" but now I do. I know how it strengthens as well as stretches and relaxes. So it's all good. Not a workout to skip, either!! Flexibility, balance, stretching... all things that are required as well as the cardio and weight training! Tomorrow is the last day of Week2... so we'll see how things are cranking along. :-)

I know the workouts are working, as I'm seeing some grooves showing up in my arms that weren't there before. Yay!! But I'm still eating too much. Boo...

Breakfast: Greenberry Shakeology with juice of red grapes, watermelon and cucumber, juiced in the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. Awesome to have such a fresh-tasting Shakeology blend! Cleaning the juicer is the most work, but it's worth it. (440 cal)
Lunch: Grilled salmon with green pepper (kabob), protein smoothie made with Jay Robb vanilla whey protein, cantaloupe, banana & cottage cheese. I was going to put Shakeology into it, too- but decided not to. Can't keep going through that greenberry faster than one a day, or I will run out again!! It's just SO GOOD!!! (376 cal)
Dinner: Dad wants to go to Furr's buffet (oy)- had green beans, carrots, broccoli, spinach/strawberry/pecan salad, beef/mushroom on rice, a bit of chicken pot pie (without the crust part), red velvet cake and custard pie (797 cal)
Snack: strawberry cupcake (203 cal)

Breakdown of the day- (1816 calories)
Carb: 60%
Pro: 19%
Fat: 21%
Fiber: 28g (needs at least 25g)

It's always hard to get the estimate for the eating-out meals, as I don't have any nutrition labels for those and can only guesstimate the portions and what might be in it. I'm sure most of it will have more butter or salt than I care to know about. But it's the best I can do.
