Awesome first workout with HIIT25!! I was a little worried about the length, as this is (so far) the longest HIIT workout I've done with TurboFire. But then again... I know I've had workouts that lasted longer than this, too- so what's the big deal?? Still... it was first-time jitters.
But it went okay- though I don't think I hit it as hard as I could have (or should have) but I was learning the moves, too. First time through, with the learning curve. All 4 sets were easy to follow, but that third one, for some reason- was tougher for me to coordinate. Next time though- I will know what to expect and I should be able to crank it up more! The workout went FAST! You hardly know time was flying by, as the intervals kept you busy. Excellent stuff!
Then the usual... Stretch10 to cool down. HR went up from 80's to 130's in the warm-up... then up to the upper 150's and low 160's for the intervals. And low 150's during the rest breaks. Immediately after- 110's... so I'm happy to see that cardio recovery happens fairly quickly. :-)
Let's see if the calories today can be lower than the last couple of days...
Breakfast: P90X Recovery drink & chocolate-almond-cherry Shakeology; split the Shakeology into two, covered breakfast and lunch. (412 cal)
Lunch: other half of Shakeology, asparagus with olive oil & garlic (273 cal)
Dinner: Dad made a frozen chicken lasagna; I made some zucchini/tomatoes for a veggie side dish (and color). (681 cal)
Snack: 2 pieces of frozen pizza kids didn't eat (300 cal)
Breakdown for the day- (1666 calories)
Carb: 60%
Pro: 16%
Fat: 24%
Fiber: 30g (need at least 25g)
I love feeling that slight "slow burn" kind of feeling the rest of the day... my metabolism is FIRED UP!
