I know... it's not INSANITY that I'm doing! But I saw today's schedule and it was Core20 & Stretch40... and thought it wouldn't be "enough"... so I added the Insanity to get my intensity in.
INSANITY Plyo Cardio- and I'm happy to have made it through that 10-minute warm-up without having to stop! Woohoo! I know my heart is healthier and stronger once I can do that warm-up without breaks! And then I did the rest- but with a few breaks here and there. It was interesting to see though- that it wasn't my heart that was having a hard time every time I had to break- a couple of times I'd look at my HRM when I was feeling that muscle failure & couldn't do another rep- and it was like 148!! That's not high for my intense level!! But yet I was hitting muscle failure on some of the moves. And then other moves- my muscles felt okay- but it was my heart/lungs that were fighting... and my HR would be up to the low 170's. Huff-puff!!! But yes- what an awesome workout. So tough... and yet SO good.
Then I did Core20 with some interruptions by the kids... and then by the time I needed to put in Stretch40, I had lost track and momentum. The kids were wanting mommy for this and that!!! So I put it off for later in the day... and then turns out- later never happened and I never did get that yoga in. :-(
But that's okay- I'll get it in next time- and skip adding the Insanity. The kids just won't leave me alone long enough for that much workout time. But I could eek out an hour... just not much more than that.
