Turbo Day

Got a workout this morning, a couple of Turbo Jams. First was a short Cardio Party Remix, about 30 minutes. And then I did the 3T, or Totally Tubular Turbo, which is a sculpting/resistance workout. Just a little bit of everything today! Felt good to get it done for the day.

Breakfast this morning was an egg sandwich on a whole wheat english muffin. One of my favorite breakfasts with a good balance of protein and carbs! Now that the workout is done, I'm starving again though... so I will make a protein recovery drink, and that should last me til lunch.

Lunch was a Lean Cuisine roasted garlic and chicken pizza. Very garlicky! But yum... and the student nursing organization had a gathering too- so I grabbed up a few strawberries, some chips, dices of cheese and 2 cookies from there.

Dinner was some shake-n-bake style chicken, although I make my own shakey mix (the ready-made type is too salty!) using corn flake crumbs. I also made some rice-a-roni with some barley added in to give more fiber to the dish. And some canned corn and frozen peas stirred in as well. Not a bad quickie dinner! Now I'm fighting the urge to have an ice cream cone... grrrrr that my sweet tooth is so crazy.

Protein: 2 eggs (only 1 yolk), fat-free cheese slice, protein powder, recovery drink mix, chicken pizza, baked chicken drumstick
Fats: fake butter (for cooking eggs), Omega-3 oil, flaxseed oil, butter
Fiber: whole wheat eng. muffin, barley (that was stirred into the rice)
Dairy: cheese slice, jalapeno jack cheese
Fruits: blueberries, banana (into protein shake), strawberries
Veggies: corn, peas (both stirred into the rice)
Breads/grains: whole wheat eng. muffin, chicken pizza, rice-a-roni
Salty Carbs/junk: tortilla chips
Sweet Carbs/treats: recovery drink mix (it's pretty sweet), oatmeal raisin cookie, snickerdoodle cookie
Misc. beverages: red wine
Vitamins: multi vit., Omega-3 oil, fish oil, calcium, magnesium
