Legs and Back, ARX

Got Legs & Back in this afternoon- and then ARX in this evening. Nothing huge to tell, except that I read something on the BB boards about doing the pull-ups a bit differently. Since I use a chair to assist in getting up there, I think I'm also using that chair too much- so the pull-up becomes a bit of a leg exercise and not enough of a back exercise. So on the boards someone mentioned to go ahead and use the chair to get up there- but then try to do a slow-mo drop back down. And hopefully that will use the same back muscles and build them without all the effort going to the leg on the 'up' and gravity on the 'down'. This way, it's still leg (and arm/back) on the way up- and LOTS of back on the way down. I'm going to try that next time, and see what happens.

I am happy though- that I can still do 1 or 2 reverse-grip chin-ups without the chair! I haven't been able to do that ever since I hit puberty and gained weight! So it's VERY cool to finally be able to do that again- and to know that I can lift that much weight up there (130 lbs)! Yay!!!

Anyway, the numbers for the pull-ups:
Reverse grip pull-ups: 3 w/o chair (YAY)-3 chair; 1 w/o chair-4 chair
Wide front pullups: 6 chair; 6 chair
Closed-grip overhand pullups: 7 chair; 6 chair
Switch-grip pullups: 7 chair; 7 chair- on both sets, 1st one was without chair, with reverse grip

And the Leg work (listing them all now, even though some I don't really count numbers):
Balance lunge: 18/18 (some days the form still throws me)
Calf-raise squats: 25/0 wts
Super skaters: 25/25
Wall squats: did fine- not so bad anymore
Step-back lunge: 20/0 wts
Side lunge: done, 0 wts
1-leg wall squats: better- but still hard; made it through fine
1-leg squats: done (not a hard one, barely touching the floor)
3-way lunge kicks: done- but not great form on the kicks
Sneaky lunge: 20, but today had some tumbling trying to balance
Chair pose: done
Toe-roll Iso: 20/20 -0 wts
Groucho walk: done- but need to try getting down lower to intensify because these just don't seem to do much for me
Calf raises: done- 0 wts
80/20 squats: 30/30 with airborne on the last 10 of each set

And the ARX from just now (without shoes):
In & out: 25
Seated bicycle: 25/25
Crunchy frog: 25 (with some breaks)
Crossed leg/wide sit ups: 23
Fifer scissors: 20
Hip rock raise: 16
Pulse-up: 25
Roll-up V combo: 18
Oblique V-up: 6/10 (just not my day for these today!)
Leg Climb: 12/12 (1-grab)
Mason Twist: 40

Food-wise, I know I'm still eating too many carbs. Cake in the house! But the last of that is done as of today. I had the kids finish it all off. LOL And I'm craving meat... so I know I must not be getting enough protein or something. Either that, or I'm regressing back to my caveman days. I'm also craving ice cream too, for some reason.
