Yoga X

Leg stretch in Yoga... I need to keep my knees more flat (now that I took a pic, I can see that)- but I'm excited that I can reach out to where my wrists are out at the bottoms of my feet! Yay for the flexibility increase!

Here is the Prayer Twist, while in a lunge. I remember tumbling completely when I first started trying this one in Yoga! Funny that the move looks easier than it is done...

Another move that just looks so easy in a photo- but UGH these are hard! And these aren't even the twisting half moons! This one is the basic half moon... and I still tumble on these sometimes. That bottom leg that holds up your weight the entire time through these series... ouch-a-rooni!!!!

I wanted to catch a shot of the Chair Pose, too... to check my form. I think I am down low enough, but maybe need to straighten my back some and not arch it quite so much. I might have to come up more in the legs to do it, but I should have a straighter back, I think.

The Boat in the Yoga Belly 7 part... not bad form. I'm happy with that.

The big abdominal/leg lean thing in the Belly 7. I'm excited that I can hold these now finally! Yay!

And then the LOW version that comes in the next set. Ouch in the abs on these!!! I'm glad the picture is a 'still' because you can't see me trembling as I hold that pose!
So today was Yoga that followed yesterday's first attempt at Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. And today, my chest and shoulders and triceps were NOT liking all the vinyasas and pushups in Yoga!!! OUCH when I first started! But once I got near the first set with Warrior moves, the vinyasas got a little less painful, and then by the time we got to the sets with Reverse Warrior in them... the shoulders were griping about the normal amount. Whew!! It took a bit to get that painful soreness out and work through it! I also didn't attempt to get those pushups in before every Downward Dog like I did last time. I bypassed that until I got more warmed up- then I did fit in about 3 of them here and there along near the end of the Vinyasa series... but ouch. My chest and arms are SO sore!
All this pain... will lead to what I want though. So I'm happy for it. :-)
Now I just hope that blogger doesn't give me an error again like it has been all morning... cross your fingers and hope it "takes"!
