So I debated about it, and decided to just go ahead and do Plyo again for my workout today, and do it RIGHT this time. No more eating too close to Plyo time like yesterday!!! Learned the hard way that it just doesn't work that way. Eating too far ahead of Plyo doesn't work well either- because you'll lose steam... and I was cutting it close to doing that today. Running out of steam a bit at the end, when the "sports round" came around. Man... I cannot get a good grasp on how to do that ball pitch move with my left arm as the throwing arm!!! NO form whatsoever! I am soooo not left-handed.
Anyway, by doing Plyo today, and not doing it as a 'double' with CST, I will move my X schedule over by one day. That will put my Rest Day on Monday, which is better for me than on Sunday anyway. Mondays are my most busiest days out of any day of the week- so that will actually work out okay. I probably should have started the X on a Tuesday so it was that way all along, but at the time, it was Jan 1st that I was starting.
Okay, so I didn't go double-time with Dom (or Tony, when they did double-time stuff), because it was enough to just keep it going for the 30 seconds or the minute that each move was supposed to last. Whew- huffing and puffing BIG time! Grabbing knees and everything... no need to double-time ANYTHING just yet!
I can't imagine doing double-time high jumps for the Knee tucks, or double-time on the Mary Katherine lunges. I'm still doing the lunges with a step-back-lunge kind of move rather than an airborne leg switch. Maybe one day I can make it to that point.
The Squat jacks wipe me out, too. By that point, I'm good to just do regular jacks without getting down too low into the squat. And for the Cross hops on the single-leg... I'm doing the jump-rope move through that whole section because I was so winded through there. Man... I have some serious improvement ahead of me! But I know... one day I will get there. I can't be perfect in the X in just half a round.
I also know that I'm not shedding the fat layer as much as I'd like because I'm still eating too many carbs. I need to cut the carbs some more- but I've been such a carbo-loader for so long!!! That is the hardest part for me to change. Dropping the fat intake is easy. Upping the protein intake is fairly easy, too (but still needs thought and work). Dropping the carb intake is MUCH harder than the other 2 put together- even when I'm thinking about it and working on it, I still think I'm getting too much.
Although the X menu doesn't push the super-low carb diet all the way through- I think I should try to get the super-low carb diet anyway- because I 'miss the mark' by enough that I'm probably cutting just enough (of all the extra) carbs to eat what I should most of the time- because my "normal" is so heavy on the carb balance anyway. Even if it's healthy carbs... it's still too many carbs.
I know I'm still on track with the X... just a slower track than what it should be, because my diet isn't what it should be. But I have learned ALOT about how my body works and what I can handle, as far as the workouts go. It's kinda neat to see all that changing as time moves on. :-)
