Yoga X

Could've done it earlier in the day, but I had laundry to do- and wanted to just get it DONE. So I did that this morning and then didn't actually get to Yoga until after the kids were in bed. It's a nice way to wrap up the day anyway- with the stretching that comes at the end of the workout.

Did NOT get up into Crane- I wish I could figure that out again, after getting up there for a second that one day... but I know eventually it'll come. I am happy though, that today I survived that first hard part- while doing push-ups before every Downward dog!! Woohooo! I didn't hold the Moon poses very well though. And I don't feel like I'm anywhere near "fingertips barely touching the floor" through that part either- because I'm ON my fingers pretty solidly, using them to help balance as the 'second leg' while the other one is up in the air! I'm not sure when I will get to the point where I can actually have those fingers "barely on the floor"... Yeah, right!

I feel like I could stretch some more though... but no time to add another workout in tonight. I'm off to bed early- after losing some sleep last night!

Food-wise... probably not enough calories today. I felt like I barely ate, and wasn't all that hungry all day. Which is weird, because usually I am hungry all the time, it seems! I'm sure I will feel hungry when I wake up, since I haven't had anything for dinner but a protein smoothie (made with some soy milk, chocolate protein powder, one small banana and a handful of fresh blueberries). Oh- and on the soy milk... I just wanted to try some, and I'm not all that impressed with it. I think I prefer just 1% milk- and it provides just as much protein. I thought soy milk had more protein or more taste, but it doesn't. So back to cow milk for me! Or the Carnation instant dry... sometimes I make up a container of that, and I like it better than skim cow milk. And believe it or not... this morning for breakfast, I had a piece of broiled salmon. lol It was what I was in the mood for, so that's what I had!
