Yoga X

Not great tonight. Tumbled on the half moons and couldn't keep it going very well at all! Not sure just why, since I've been able to do better in the past... but it was what I could do today.

But then it was cool! I did the Crane!! Okay, so I didn't REALLY do the Crane. But I did get myself up for a second, then came back down. Then I got up into it again- for a second, then came back down. For the first time, I got a taste of just what that felt like!!! I was actually up on my arms without touching the floor with my toes!!! Incredible! AND- I didn't fall forward on my head like I did the very first time I got my feet off the floor!

I'm excited at the strength I'm feeling in my arms. For someone who has always been a bit weak in upper-body strength, I'm psyched at the power I'm gaining with the X! It is just WAY cool. :-D

And you know, the day I manage to maintain the Crane for a good length of time- you know there will be a photo here of it! lol

Ok, now I have to go look up this "crane" move. What the heck? Is the X program teaching you to levitate or something? Goodness me!

Off to google that crane thing so I can get a better visual until you post that picture of you actually "doin' the crane" (sounds like some 50's dance move! LOL)

Let me know if you find it! But it's to crouch down on the floor, putting your hands down in front of you, apart as what will be your 'base'. And then you put your knees up near your armpits- and lean on forward, putting your weight on your hands- and pick up your feet, so you're balanced up on your hands, with your body kinda in a ball up there.

I hope you find a photo of it or something, because it is hard to describe. It's also hard to DO! lol

Yup - I did find it....along with some other weird-ass poses! MAN, they all looked hard and contorted and uncomfortable! LOL

I applaud your tenacity!
