Turbo Cardio Live, PHH Stretch

Rest day, to wrap up Week 6- and I didn't feel like doing the Stretch X today for some reason. I wanted to MOVE, but I also needed to stretch- so I decided to compromise.

I picked out a short Turbo workout, and a short stretch one. So Cardio Party Live was a good short one- and I did it using the weighted gloves all the way through. Whooo! What a sweatfest to add that extra intensity! Especially to have to move my arms around at TJ-high speed, with the weights! Man! But it was good. :-)

Then it was PHH Stretch, since it was effective and still short. I've always loved how PHH Stretch makes me feel anyway- because it really is a good one! So I got a good cardio workout in, plus a good stretching.

Food-wise... not great last night. I had a date, and ate too much (you know how restaurant food goes) but I was craving meat. So I had some BBQ ribs. Not the best choice, but it was what I was hungry for. And my date also passed off one of his chicken breasts to me, in exchange for some of my ribs. So I had ribs AND chicken. And some grilled veggies and a baked potato. And some peanuts, and a roll (white bread). Too much food, but it was my only big meal all day. I know, I know... eating huge meals is not the way to go, even if it's the only big meal. I know it's best to eat several small meals (snack-like meals) all day long- but my day just didn't allow for that kind of eating. Seems like MOST of my days doesn't allow for that kind of eating, unfortunately. Most days, I tend to eat to little, and then pile too much into one main meal. Old habits... and schedules, too.

Tomorrow starts week 7- and this will be longest I've ever stuck to the X! Woohoooo! From now on, every day will be a new personal record as far as moving through the program. The exercise part is going well- it's the food part that will hold me back. But I can still feel/see the muscle improvement. I just need to tackle the food part better to shave off the layer of fat. That's the hardest part for me... eating right.

Tux!!

Great job! I was perusing your blog. You are an inspiration to me.

I think I may try your pull-up suggestion. I feel the same way as you with the chair-assisted. I tried using bands last night ... considering that I can easily do a lat pull-down with 60lbs., makes sense that the bands didn't give me a workout, either!!

Sheri.

Hi Tux! Congrats on going where no Tux has gone before! ;)

I'm stopping the X at six weeks. My knee got really bad and so I need to let it get better. But I'm going to keep walking, and I'm going to do Tai Chi in the mornings and do stretching and upper body weight workouts regularly as well.

But I think six weeks at my weight was doing really well. And I did get stronger and developed better balance. I'll get back to it eventually.

Hey Sheri! I'm glad I can inspire you (somehow!)- because I know I get alot of my inspiration from others and it's surely not generated all within myself! Some days are MUCH harder than others, that's for sure.

Barb- I'm sorry to hear your knee is still bugging you! So you're sure you're going to have to stop the X? You've made it SO far- and I think you've done a great job lasting this long! I made it to this point the first time I tried the X too- so I know how you feel (and I didn't even have an injury to stop me!). I have faith in you though- that one day you WILL be back to the X and you WILL finish it- and MORE. Please don't disappear- because I'd like to keep up with what you're up to, okay?

Hey Rob- thanks again for coming by! Just remember that I'm watching you!!! ;-)
