Turbo Jam, Plyo X

Woohooo! What a workout tonight!! I got a wild hair and decided I would add a Turbo Jam in front of Plyo... yikes! So I picked out a short one- TJ Fat Blaster, which is nothing but a total fast-running cardio blast for 30 minutes. Got me plenty warm for the Plyo though! I think it might've actually made Plyo go smoother for me because I wasn't trying to do it cold. It even made Plyo go faster. And it made Plyo more fun. Crazy that if I would do some other workout BEFORE, that I wouldn't just CRASH during Plyo instead- but rather, I got BETTER with it! That is NUTS!

But I loved it. Now I'm feeling good... and I earned that Recovery drink tonight. :-) I haven't actually had a recovery drink in over a week because I haven't worked out hard enough to need one (with last week being Recovery Week) so this is the first one in awhile. Yummy, yummy!

I wore my HR monitor and the highest I caught it was at 163. TJ got me up to the mid-upper 150's for most of the time, with a high of 160. Plyo kept me in the same zone, with that high of 163. Burned some calories tonight! Now if I could just figure out a better way to burn some of the fat... but I know the first step in burning the fat is to tweak that diet- and cut out the junky carbs.

Tomorrow is Shoulders & Arms and I'm looking forward to it! I haven't done that one since Phase I and I like that one! It'll be interesting to see if my numbers change any from back then, too.

OK, I'm gonna ask. What's a "Recovery" drink?

And WTG on the double workout! You are a POWERHOUSE! Go! Go! GO!

The "Recovery drink" is from BB- the P90X recovery drink. It comes in a powder like the protein stuff, but it's not just protein powder. It has other stuff in it (I would have to get the container to name them, if you want that) that supposedly helps your muscles recover from a really hard workout. Tony H. always says you have to "earn" your recovery drink- because if you don't have an intense workout, you really don't need it.

I know that doesn't really explain it much- but maybe it does. Does it?
